Organic Chemistry Review PDF - Tips to Use When Studying Organic ChemistryWhat makes an organic chemistry review PDF interesting? Well, for starters, you will see all of the tips that I would have saved you a lot of time if I had known them beforehand. After all, one thing that is certain is that anything that I write about in this article is not secret. It is just about how I organize my thoughts on these subjects. If you want to make the best use of a sheet of paper that I use for all of my notes, I recommend you start with an organic chemistry review PDF. This is a great help because it breaks down the many aspects of a given subject. For example, let's say that I'm in class on the topic of alkaline earths. This means that I have to know a lot of facts about this topic. It is very important to me to be able to sort out the facts that I need to know in order to make an informed decision when answering questions. But, in order to make this happen, I am going to use an organic chemistr y review PDF as my guide. Once I have read this, I can start asking questions and sorting through the information that I need to find the answers to these questions. In other words, this will be a great way for me to move from my chemical part of the world to the common man's part of the world. I will then be able to answer any questions that I have while it is still pretty new to me.Some of the other advantages of reading electronic editions of this kind of information are that there is no waiting for the author to get around to answering your question. Also, when you do research online, you can often find a lot of information on the internet that will be useful to you. These could include not only the topic that you have chosen, but also helpful tips, hints, and a ton of other information that is available for free. All in all, when you are getting all of the information that you need in a book or paper format, it is nice to know that you have it right at your fingertips. 6 interview tips that will get you the job - straight from a teach abroad recruiter

6 interview tips that will get you the job - straight from a teach abroad recruiter So the date for your teach abroad interview is set - it’s time to make your mark! While competition can be fierce, there’s no need to stress. Here are a few of my tried-and-tested tips to make sure that you stand out from the crowd during your teaching job interview. Psst: Before you can ace your interview, you actually have to get the interview. Check out these posts for tips on getting your application in top shape: Why you need to complete your teacher profile Tips for taking a great profile picture 1) Research the school and position you're applying for. This doesn’t mean that you need to be a subject matter expert, but a familiarity with the hiring school or program will smooth out the process. Check out the school website or profile on Teach Away, as well as any social media accounts they might have. This will give you a good idea of their mission and values, which will help you figure out the type of teacher they’re looking for. It will also help you narrow down the themes you might be asked about - popular topics you might be asked include a lesson plan, how you communicate with parents, your classroom management style, are all likely to crop up over the course of your interview. You can also avoid embarrassment by looking up how to pronounce the country name ahead of time. Knowing which continent is on is also a must! Also know what topics to avoid - the last thing you want is to unwittingly offend your interviewer. For example: Discussing a Christmas lesson would be inappropriate for a school in the Middle East. 2) Talk about what you do, not what you’ve studied. What makes your class your class? It’s easy to rattle off some education buzzwords, but being able to confidently and concretely explain how you use those practices in your classroom is interview gold. Expect teacher interview questions that explore your experience with classroom management and differentiated instruction as well ESL and subject-specific teaching strategies and be ready to answer confidently, drawing on specific examples. 3) Tell brief, but personal, anecdotes. It’s worth keeping a mental folder full of past anecdotes and teaching experiences that show your strengths as an educator. Don’t be afraid to make these personal. Share something you’re proud of or a funny (but appropriate) classroom incident, to stand out in the interviewer’s mind and let them get to know you. While they want to get to know your teaching history, they also want to get to know you as a person. You might get asked to tell them more about a teacher who personally inspired you or what made you decide to become a teacher in the first place. Not only is this an opportunity for you to shine - emphasizing your shared passion for education will also also forge a stronger connection with the interviewer on the other side of the table. 4) Don’t shy away from a little self-reflection. There’s nothing wrong with admitting you don’t have experience in a certain area, especially if you can logically follow up with why it wouldn’t hold you back. Turn that negative into a positive! If you get thrown by a question, it’s perfectly fine to ask for a moment to consider your answer. And if you find yourself really stuck, be honest rather than try to ramble your way through an answer. Speaking of rambling... 5) More isn’t always better. It’s a good idea to practice some self-editing before your interview. Succinct and concise answers are easier for an interviewer to process. You’ll want to tie your answers back to your skills and accomplishments by providing examples of results you’ve achieved in the classroom. Try to limit answers to only a few sentences, though - unless you are prompted for more, or the topic is more involved. 6) Be willing to accept feedback. As teach abroad recruiters, we want our applicants to succeed and will work with you to help your chances. Hiring schools abroad are looking for best fit and want to be sure that they hire the candidates most likely to succeed and stay at their school for the longer term. If you’ve followed these job interview tips, you’re in great shape to nail your next interview and get that dream teaching job offer. If you receive coaching or notes on your responses from us before the interview, it is not meant as personal criticism of you as an educator, but rather an opportunity for you to refine your application. This might seem like a lot to absorb, but that’s what practice interviews are for. Sit down with a trusted friend or colleague and work through the above tips. Sign up to Teach Away today for access to the latest teaching jobs around the world. Try not to memorize your answers, but get comfortable speaking candidly - your interviews might try to throw you curveballs to see how you react. Wowing them with your knowledge and poise will get you that much closer to your dream teaching adventure abroad. Best of luck with your application!

Costa Mesa Tutoring Tips Elementary School Math - TutorNerds

Costa Mesa Tutoring Tips Elementary School Math - TutorNerds Costa Mesa Tutoring for Elementary School Math Costa Mesa Tutoring for Elementary School Math  Parents of students in elementary school often overlook the potential of early math tutoring. At these grade levels, the math being learned is often seen as too fundamental and memorization-based: counting, numbers, digits, addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc. It might seem that private Costa Mesa tutoring is unnecessary to learn this material that everyone gets through together in elementary school. After all, for the most part, there isn’t as much pressure or emphasis on grades, standardized test scores, and honors or remedial classes until they get older. Isn’t it better to wait until they are in a more advanced class like algebra before tutoring can really help?  It isn’t. This way of thinking is prevalent but wrong. Early math tutoring by an experienced private tutor can lead to improvements in quantitative skills and mathematics grades for the rest of their educational career. Here are three reasons why this early tutoring is so vital. The Fundamentals Never Go Away  The mathematics that children learn in their first few years of school will continue to be used for the rest of their math classes and the rest of their lives. These fundamentals are just that:  fundamental. This material sets the foundation for  all  future math skills and learning. There will never be a single lesson in their classes from this point forward that does not include the math that they are learning now.    So, what are these fundamentals? Well, of course, we have topics like numbers, counting, and estimating. There are also early operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Other topics like shapes, geometry, spatial skills, problem-solving, and word problems are learned in elementary school. And, importantly, there are introductions to fractions, decimals, and percentages. When tutors help and evaluate students in middle school, high school, or even college, a lack of expertise in these fundamental skills is often a significant factor holding them back. Being able to quickly and correctly do basic operations and times tables (remember “mad minutes”?); understand and work with fractions, decimals, and percentages; and confidently solve math questions in their head (or at least, without a calculator) are all issues that plague students who struggle with math. How many adults do you know who still say that they can’t do fractions, or can’t solve math problems in their head if it’s more than one digit? Costa Mesa tutoring at this time solves those problems before they become problems. Some of the processes used to help students become experts in these topics might simply not be effective for your students.   Or, the material isn’t learned as well as it could be.   Or, the teacher(s) don’t prioritize the right material that your student will need for the future.   Whatever the case, becoming an absolute expert at these early number manipulations is a huge advantage for students going into their next years of math, and it is often an advantage that continues to keep them on top and is a skill that continues to be valuable. Math Confidence is Key to Success and Self-Esteem A large contributor to many students not enjoying math or not doing well in math is a lack of confidence in the material.   When they are always learning new things, it always feels difficult and challenging.   It is easy for many students to start thinking that they aren’t good at math at an early age.   This feeling can stay with them, and it can lead to a dislike of mathematics and mathematical fields, as well as disinterest in the classes which will make it more difficult to do well. One way to help boost math confidence is to build it early on.   Experienced math tutors know what is important and they know what will be coming next for the student.   A private Costa Mesa tutor can help your students master what they are learning now and prime them for future material.   Learning some of the material with a private tutor is very effective: they can be more engaging with your student, cater to the ways that your student learns best, and revisit confusing parts while accelerating the easier parts.   It is clear that most students respond very well to private lessons from an experienced math tutor. What this priming and preparation does is it then makes the student much more experienced in confident in class.   They have already mastered some of the material and practiced others that the teacher hasn’t taught yet.   For many students, they get to experience this for the first time when a tutor gets them ahead of schedule in middle school or high school.   The happiness, confidence, and relief from the stress of being ahead of class instead of behind can be an exuberating mentality shift for students who have never felt this confidence before.   Much joy in mathematics has been sparked by simply being in a position where the student is no longer confused and stressed. Even better than trying to fix confidence is to provide it from the first place.   Help your students excel at early math and take that success and self-esteem with them to higher levels.   You never know what problems you might be avoiding altogether by being proactive with tutoring. Guaranteed to Stay on Track and Not Fall Behind Math classes tend to build upon prior math classes.   This is true for most subjects, but it is most obvious and most prevalent in mathematics.   Difficulty or poor understanding of one math class often leads to more difficulty and worse understanding in the next classes.   This effect can build on itself, and it creates a slippery slope of math success that is easy to fall off from just one poor class. Similarly, some math fundamentals need to be mastered in order for a student to be successful in the future.   Unfortunately, most of these fundamentals are never revisited â€" meaning that if they aren’t learned and mastered early enough, it will mean problems in the future. These issues make tutoring much more difficult in the future when a student might really need help.   A tutor can often diagnose some of the deficiencies in a student’s math knowledge that are leading to their problems in a class.   The problem is that is often almost impossible to go back and revisit, reteach, and master so much older material while still learning the new material well enough to get a good grade.   This often leads to tutors having to perform “damage control” with a student where strong understanding and true knowledge must be sacrificed in order to prioritize the memorization required to help the student improve their grade in time. This type of tutoring is often only a temporary band-aid for a problem that needs much more work to truly fix.   However, it is often all that is possible with the time available. You can avoid this with early tutoring and setting your student on track from the beginning.   A tutor will catch if there are ever starting to slip off and can help fix the problem and move forward before it has been too much time.   Many students in high school and beyond who have math tutoring also would require lessons of material that they failed to understand or master from back when they were a child to truly fix their math problems.   The problem is that it is too late for them to really fix it.   An experienced tutor can fix this by working with your student while they are learning some of the most important math skills in their childhood. How an Irvine Tutor Can Help with College Applications

How an Irvine Tutor Can Help with College Applications An Irvine Tutor Can Help with College Applications Part I An Irvine Tutor Can Help with College Applications Part I Many students and parents are familiar with tutoring for classes and tests.   It is very common for tutors to work with students to help them pass a class or get an A or to improve their score on a standardized test.   For many students and parents, these are the important areas to improve to have a more competitive college application or resume.   After all, test scores and GPA are the only things that matter, right? Wrong.   There is much more to college applications than just your “numbers” that the college will see.   However, students and parents tend to only focus on these numbers when it comes to tutoring. School searches, personal statements, essays, resumes, and recommendations are all other extremely important aspects of a student’s college applications.   These areas can be the tipping point for many students on the cusp of acceptance to their top choice school â€" or finding the best schools for them in the first place.   If a school is looking at applications where many students have similar grades and test scores, the only things that can make you stand out are the more personal and unique areas of your application (our private Irvine college admissions tutors are the best in SoCal). Let’s talk about some of the ways that an experienced private tutor can help with this process. Applying to the Right Schools One of the often-overlooked aspects of the college application process is finding the right schools to begin with.   There are over 5000 colleges and universities in the United States, yet most students usually feel pigeonholed into a few common nearby schools.   There is nothing wrong with attending your local community college or state school, but for many students that shouldn’t be the end of their search. An experienced private tutor knows more about the school searching process than you do.   They can look at your credentials, your preferences, and your goals to help find schools that match for you.   They can make recommendations and even help you decide what you might like and what you might want to look for.   They can also give you a good idea of what schools you stand the best chance of being accepted into. Statements and Essays A very significant part of a college application is the qualitative information and writing samples.   Colleges want to hear your voice and your values.   They also want to see how you write and how you present yourself and your opinions. Your individual writing can make-or-break your overall application.   You have a very limited space to explain who you are and to do so with quality and compelling writing.   A tutor can help guide this process and help edit this writing sample.   They can also give insight into what the admissions officers may be looking for in applications, and how you can strive to stand out from the crowd in a positive way. The Structure and Properties of a Chemical Molecule

The Structure and Properties of a Chemical MoleculeChemicals are mostly made up of chemicals, and one could look at the chemical structures and properties to understand the chemistry structure and properties. The chemical structure can be changed and found to have an effect on the properties, and this is why there are chemicals in existence. Chemistry has been around for many years and it is one of the oldest sciences that we have, and indeed, the oldest of the sciences. The structure of a chemical takes the form of a carbon atom, and the carbon is linked to three or more oxygen atoms, forming what is known as a covalent bond. A chemical compound is the combination of a number of molecules, for example hydrogen and water or a number of gases and nitrogen. Some molecules can be very large in size such as water and some substances can be very small such as the size of a cilia within the body of a single cell.A number of chemical compounds can be mixed together to make compounds. One of the basic chemistry processes is the process of combining a number of elements or chemicals to make a compound.A number of scientists believe that the chemical properties of the atoms are controlled by the way that they are arranged. As the atoms of any given element are arranged differently, the different chemical properties of the atoms will be different and this is the basis of the differences between the properties of two identical chemicals, as for example two identical amino acids will have different properties.Carbon bonds are formed from a number of different atoms in a chemical compound. The atoms that form the carbon bonds have to be arranged in such a way that when they get pulled together by the pull of gravity, the atoms will rub along and cause them to break apart.Another common property of molecules is that if two elements or molecules have very similar properties, there will be a stronger attraction to the molecules rather than repulsion. When you mix two molecules w ith similar properties, the more stable one will tend to stick to the other and this is what creates that attraction. This is known as chemical bonding and is the basis of the chemical bonding that is involved in the chemical compounds that exist in nature. The best way to understand how molecules form a molecular bond is to think about how an atom takes the shape of a crystal. Every atom of an element is made up of a number of electrons which attract and move towards each other and this is how the crystal is formed. In this case, the chemical bonds that are formed are what create a crystal, and this is how chemical bonds form. Chemical bonds are responsible for the chemical properties of molecules, but the chemical bonding process is also involved in the chemical bonding that is involved in the chemical compounds that exist in nature.

Are You Searching For a New Job?

Are You Searching For a New Job?A tutoring service in Dallas Texas can be one of the best ways to save money while increasing your knowledge. An excellent quality career opportunity is almost always a rewarding venture. It is no secret that a good education, with a good job and with a promising future, is a necessity for most people who enter the workforce.Tutoring a number of students at once is a great way to help manage both the financial aspect and the mental side of a learner. It is very common for many companies to outsource some of their tutoring needs to a tutor. This is especially true in the areas of finance and education where there are lots of opportunities. When an individual is looking for a job, this is a tremendous way to get to know the company and then get a closer look at the qualifications of their potential employees. It is not unusual for an employer to hire someone from a reputable tutoring company for many positions. The process is extremely simple, as the empl oyer simply hires a tutor and pays them directly from the company's bank account. This may sound like a very convenient way to do business but the employer may find themselves making some pretty huge mistakes. When you do this, the client and the tutor often have very different expectations of the other. In the majority of cases the tutor will be found to be a higher quality teacher than the employee hired directly from the company. Most business owners realize this. They are more likely to use a full service tutoring company to educate their staff rather than using a single individual tutor to teach one to a whole class of people. When you tutor several different students at the same time you begin to learn a lot about the company and its practices. As a resourceful person you will learn things about their administration, their employees, and their workers in general. This can be quite helpful when looking for a new business or employment. There are also things you may learn about the potential employee while doing this kind of work. The better the tutor you have the more information you will have on them. You might have just gotten to know them and now the time has come to make a decision on whether or not they are right for you.

Variables and Expressions

Variables and Expressions Variables are the letters or alphabets usually found in most of the math formulas, in algebraic expressions and equations. Variables can take any number assigned to them as per the given question and therefore we can have the choice to let an alphabet be a certain number. Algebraic expressions are formed when variables and numerical constants are put together joined by addition, subtraction, multiplication or division operations. We can find the value of the expression containing the variables because we can assign the values for the given variable. Example 1: What is the value of the given algebraic expression, 5a 8 + 4b if the value of a = 1 and b = 2. In order to find the value of the expression, we should plug-in a as 1 and b as 2. This implies: 5a 8 + 4b = 5(1) 8+ 4(2) This gives: 5 8 + 8 Now calculate the values starting from the left side of the expression. 5 8 + 8 = 5. Hence the value of the expression is 5. Example 2: What is the value of the given algebraic expression, 10 7x + 2y if the value of x = 0 and y = -2. In order to find the value of the expression, we should plug-in x = 0 and y = -2 in the place of x and y. This implies: 10- 7(0) + 2(-2) This gives: 10 0 - 4 Now calculate the values starting from the left side of the expression. 10- 0 4= 6 Hence the value of the expression is 6.

What To Know About The Math Section Of The ACT

What To Know About The Math Section Of The ACT The ACT Mathematics section is designed to assess the mathematical proficiency students have typically acquired in courses taken by the end of the 11th grade. Students receive an hour to finish the 60-question math section which boils down to roughly a minute per question. The multiple-choice problems cover content areas such as pre-algebra,elementaryalgebra, intermediatealgebra, coordinategeometry, plane geometry, andtrigonometry. Students must be comfortable using computational skills and basic formulas, but a knowledge of complex formulas or the ability to perform extensive computations is not required. The Pre-Algebra questions make up 23% of the ACT math section. These problems are based on basic operations that use whole numbers, decimals, fractions, integers, place value, square roots and approximations the concept of exponents, scientific notation, factors, ratio, proportion, and percent. Content will also cover linear equations in one variable, absolute value and ordering numbers by value, elementary counting techniques and simple probability, data collection, representation and interpretation, and assessing how well students understand descriptive statistics. Elementary Algebra questions cover the properties of exponents and square roots, evaluation of algebraic expressions through substitution, using variables to express functional relationships, understanding algebraic operations, and the solution of quadratic equations by factoring. They are 17% of the ACT math. Intermediate Algebra problems make up 15% of the math portion. They assess how well students understand the quadratic formula, absolute value inequalities and equations, radical and rational expressions, patterns and sequences, and systems of equations, quadratic inequalities, modeling, matrices, functions, roots of polynomials, and complex numbers. Coordinate Geometry questions involve graphing and the relations between graphs and equations. This includes points, lines, polynomials, circles and other curves, graphing inequalities, slope, parallel and perpendicular lines, distance, midpoints, and conics. Coordinate Geometry questions are 15% of the ACT math exam. Plane Geometry questions are designed to measure your understanding of the properties and relations of plane figures. Angles and relations among perpendicular and parallel lines, properties of circles, triangles, rectangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids, transformations, the concept of proof and proof techniques, volume, and applications of geometry to three dimensions are all covered. Plane Geometry problems are 23% of the math test. Lastly, Trigonometry problems are 7% of the ACT math section. These questions cover trigonometric relations in right triangles, values and properties of trigonometric functions, graphing trigonometric functions, modeling using trigonometric functions, the usage of trigonometric identities, and solving for trigonometric equations. Can you use a calculator? You may on this part of the exam, but youll have to put it away when its time for the next section on the ACT. Make sure that your calculator is ACT-approved! All TI-89 or TI-92 calculators are permitted as is any four-function, graphing, or scientific calculator. Any calculators with a QWERTY keyboard are prohibited. The ACT Math test is difficult because it assess knowledge that youve learned, not just intuited from the problem at hand. It includes a wide range of material from your middle and high school math courses and since so many topics are covered, its important that you have a strong understanding of all these areas. In order to do your best, you can follow some simple tips. These will help you approach the ACT math and the structure of the exam so test day will be a success. However, these tips cant replace a good, old fashioned knowledge. Understanding these strategies and applying them with your math skills will help you reach the score you want. That said. Review, Review, Review. Give yourself plenty of time to go back and revisit areas you havent spent time with in a while, or ones that were tricky in the past. It doesnt matter if youve gotten straight As in pre-algebra through trig you can still benefit from a full review of material from years past. The ACT math covers a broad, broad area, and goes into tiny details youve probably forgotten, and will be important on the exam. Stay in your time frame. As we said earlier, the ACT math exam is designed to allot you a minute per question. Spend too long figuring out that trigonometry problem, and youll be rushing through the rest of the test. Know the simple rules. The writers of the ACT are trying to trick you, so you have to outwit them. They want you to forget the basics, so make sure you have those down before test day arrives. Dont forget the little things like what you do to one side of an equation must be done to the other side. Memorize your formulas. Sure, theres a lot. But having these down pat saves you from having to plug in answer choices, so make sure you can solve for X all by yourself. You should be comfortable figuring out everything from the angles of intersecting lines to using the quadratic formula and solving for the area of a rhombus. The ACT math section is tough. But whether you work with a tutor or by yourself, its important to make sure you have your math knowledge down; using ACT practice testsis a great way to do this. Spend time studying and reviewing for the ACTmath portion, and you should be able to achieve your target score on test day.
